The Seasons & Decay

The Seasons & Decay is an experimental photographic project that examines transformation, entropy, and impermanence through both natural cycles and material processes. The work parallels the changing seasons with the physical degradation and alteration of photographic objects. Research and experimentation for this project began in Summer and Autumn of 2025 and a full year cycle will begin in the Springtime of 2026.

Using historical and alternative photographic techniques, including sun bleaching, film souping, seed paper printing, solargraphy, Polaroid emulsion lifts, and anthotypes,I treat photographs as living objects subject to time, weather, and chemistry. This project is an intersection of experimentation and collaboration with time, nature and detailed, poetic observation.
