Early Work

2019 - 2023

My photographic practice began with inexpensive 35mm cameras and expired film, focusing on forgotten spaces throughout Buffalo and other Rust Belt cities, including Cincinnati. These early images are quieter and more solitary than my later, people centered work.

Through depictions of urban decay and disuse, I sought to capture a sense of nostalgia and loneliness, using the color shifts and imperfections of expired film to reinforce themes of memory, absence, and time.
